Hosted by the Ottawa Aboriginal Coalition, this Job Fair will be held in-person at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, featuring over 50 employers including 10 Ottawa Indigenous organizations. Employers from the City of Ottawa, United Way Indigenous Youth Employment Table, Federal Government, and more.
Who We Are:
The OAC is an alliance of Indigenous-led service-based organizations. Our member organizations are seeking experienced and dedicated candidates to deliver front-line programs and services to Indigenous people living in the National Capital Region.

The venue has free parking and is wheelchair accessible.
O.C. Transpo #9 Hurdman and #9 Downtown, both stop right outside the Conference Centre on Vanier Parkway.

Where do I park?Parking is free and is in the garage section (lower part) of the Convention Centre, 200 Coventry Road.

Are meals provided?We are unable to provide meals for this event. Coffee and tea service will be available in the lounge area of the career fair.

How can we help promote the event?Please share the event posters and media materials through your distribution channels, communications, and social media.

Will there be an opportunity to meet the OAC member organization leadership?Yes, executive directors from the ten OAC member organizations will be onsite and are scheduled to do a walk about at 5pm.

Will there be any Elder’s or Traditional Knowledge Keepers at the event?Yes, Grandmother Irene Compton will be our official Grandmother for the event; she will do the event opening and closing and be available throughout the day. Some members of the OAC Elders circle will be in attendance in the lounge area during the event and will be having dinner together at 5pm.

Are there going to be any workshops for job seekers?Yes, several workshops will be held during the event. These will be listed on the OAC website closer to the event.

Will there be any other activities happening during the event besides the booths?Yes, the event will offer something for everyone: · Lounge area to relax when not job seeking. · Opportunities to chat with Elders and OAC leadership. · Listen to the musical talents of Michael Buckshot! · Elder’s dinner to honour our helpers. · Wabano’s Vaccine Van will be on site. · Learn about the OAC’s work. · Workshops, workshops, workshops!
