Director of Training and Quality Assurance

Wabano

There are nearly 40,000 Indigenous people in our Nation’s Capital, and Wabano serves over 15,000 of them every year. While you may think of Wabano primarily as a medical clinic, most clients come through doors to be part of our programs. From Elder teachings to Lunch and learns, from Cultural nights to Indigenous cultural safety training workshops, the Training and Education Department is the de facto cultural hub of Wabano.

Wabano is now looking for an experienced leader to create a new vision and structure for the Training and Quality Assurance department and oversee its success. If you are the right person for this role, you understand processes, people, and how they work in tandem for service excellence. You thrive equally on balancing budgets and balancing workflow (yours and your team’s). But most of all, you have the passion and drive to build strong teams with the right mix of skills to serve and transform the community.

As an organization that works with the Indigenous communities, it’s important that we provide opportunities to our communities first, so First Nations, Inuit, or Métis candidates will be given priority – please self-identify.
