Speakers & Special Guests

We are excited to have the following speakers and special guests join us at this year's community gathering.

Cultural Performers

Through music, dance, and more, Indigenous performers remind us of the deep roots, strength, and vibrant spirit that connect and sustain the Ottawa Indigenous community.

Honouring Community Members

Every year the Indigenous community honours those who work for and with the Indigenous community. These individuals contribute in many ways to the health and growth of the Ottawa Indigenous community and in many ways embody the theme: Caring and Learning from Each Other (Building the Urban Indigenous Community).

A list will be provided here following the event.

We acknowledge the gift of being on Anishnabek territory and specifically on Algonquin Territory. We want to recognize the two closest Algonquin First Nation communities: Kitigan Zibi and the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan. We also recognize that today - Ottawa is a gathering place for First Nations, Inuit and Métis from across Canada. This land acknowledgement commits us to the original relationship we were building together – through friendship and peace.
