Within the Aboriginal Community in Ottawa: We host at least one Community Gathering and one Elder’s Lunch a year where we get input and feedback from the Aboriginal Community.

The City of Ottawa: Ottawa Aboriginal Coalition members sit on the Aboriginal Working Committee with City Departments and key City partners (including Ottawa Public Health and the Ottawa Police Services) to address how the City can better support Aboriginal community members.

At the Provincial Level: The OAC receives funding at times for specific projects through the Ministry of Indigenous Affairs.
The OAC is also part of a provincial coalition made up of Indigenous coalitions from Toronto, Hamilton, Thunder Bay, Barrie and Ottawa.

At the National Level: The OAC receives funding from the Urban Indigenous Program through the Department of Indigenous Services Canada.
The OAC is also part of a national coalition made up of over 30 Indigenous coalitions across the country.
