The Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health is an award-winning Health Access Centre that provides holistic primary health care to First Nation, Inuit and Métis people living in Ottawa - one of the fastest growing and diverse urban Indigenous communities in Canada. Wabano is a fast-paced, client-oriented organization that models the Indigenous values of balance, respect and community interdependence.

 

We love innovation and as a family physician certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and licensed in Ontario (or ability to obtain), we want you to bring your innovation to our community! We provide for many of our patients’ needs on-site, including primary health care, OB/GYN, paediatric and mental wellness services and cultural programming. And we live in the Nation’s Capital! A vibrant city bursting with amenities!

 

Some of the responsibilities of this rewarding position:

  • Be a member of the multi-disciplinary Health Team (including health promoters, Nurse Practitioners, therapists, systems navigators, traditional teachers, chiropractor and other Physicians);

  • Provide holistic primary health care to urban First Nation, Métis and Inuit clients;
